OUR STORY

THE ISLAMIC CENTRE OF WEST AUSTRALIA

The Islamic Centre of West Australia (WA) is a non-for profit organisation which has been in operation since 1994.

The centre serves the spiritual and social needs of the local Muslim community in various areas such as Islamic learning, social support, community engagement and event organisation.

Due to the increasing demand for Islamic services over the past few years, the centre saw the need to expand and establish a second location (Perth Ummah Centre) in order to meet the ever-increasing needs of the community.

PERTH UMMAH CENTRE

The Perth Ummah Centre was established by The Islamic Centre of WA in 2014 to provide a home for new and existing classes and programs for the Perth Muslim community. The centre contains a classrooms and an open outside area and yard to cater for a safe inviting space for women and youth. Perth Ummah Centre is adjacent to the recently renovated Maniana Park with many community facilities.

MASJID KHADIJAH

Masjid Khadijah was opened by The Islamic Centre of WA in 2026. The Masjid caters for both male & female worshippers focused on keeping the youth engaged in the Masjid. The Masjid additionally has a meeting room, offices, a self-service library, new Muslim Connect services, a media room and upcoming janazah facilities.

Masjid Khadijah is the first of five buildings on the site. Currently fundraising continues for the construction of a Madrassah, recreation and gym, cafe/restaurant and retail space.

Once completed Masjid Khadijah will be Perth’s first Masjid with a multipurpose Islamic centre catering to all family members.
