  • The Islamic Centre of West Australia (WA) has acted as a provider of authentic Islamic teachings and a safe socialising space for Muslim families for over two decades.

    For this accomplishment, we thank Allah (SWT) and the community for their trust in us. We highly value the help and support our community continue to show during the past 30 years.

    In 2014 the centre undertook an organisational review to celebrate 20 years since its establishment. The two key recommendations were to focus on the youth’s needs as well as purchasing a multipurpose community with an inbuilt Masjid.

    As a measure of ensuring our Muslim youth become the future leaders of our community, the centre has strived to provide a variety of high quality programs, classes & events. To maximise the benefits to the youth we have also facilitated the youth programs based on age and gender.

    Now the centre stands proud as an integral Islamic educational organisation in the WA Muslim community.

  • In order to meet the needs of the growing Muslim community of Perth, we have embarked on the Build Your Centre project to fulfil the second outcome of our review. We believe this project is a great investment for many Muslim generations to come. We invite the community to be part of this empowering project and any form of involvement will be highly appreciated. So far the support of the community to the success of this project has been overwhelming generous.

Current Progress

Designed to meet the needs of the growing Perth (Australia) Muslim community.

MASJID - NOW OPEN

This space hosts the five daily prayers, Friday prayers, Taraweeh prayers, classes and lectures.

It provides ample space for brothers and sisters including a mother’s room in the sister’s section.

The space features a meeting room, media space, administrative offices as well as Janazah/funeral facilities (in construction). These areas increase our capacity to further service the community inshaAllah.

MADRASSAH LEARNING SPACE

Home to the Madrassah for over 250 students. The classrooms will enrich students with the knowledge of the Quran and Sunnah utilising purpose-built classrooms to enhance the learning experience of students.

The social space aims to serve as an encompassing space welcoming all attendees to utilise the space to meet up with friends or make new friends, there are designated spaces for brothers and sisters.

RESTAURANT & CAFE (WAQF)

Established as a Waqf. The restaurant/cafe will serve as a space to help with the on-going costs of running the centre.

There will no longer be a need to leave your local Masjid to enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee.

The centre will provide a restaurant with a café so whether you’re waiting for prayer, catching up with a friend or waiting for your child to finish their class; this is the place for you.

RECREATION & GYM

The Recreation & Gym will be furnished with the latest sporting equipment and accessories boasting a modern gym and indoor court that the youth can utilise and enjoy throughout the week.

This has been intelligently designed so that it can used as a multipurpose hall when the need arises which will allow us to hold large community events in-house.

RETAIL SPACE (WAQF)

Established as a Waqf. The retail space will serve as a space to help with the on-going costs of running the centre.

This provides the community a space where they can make their purchases knowing that they are also supporting their local Islamic centre.
